Air sealing is the difference between an 'ok' insulation job and a truly excellent & effective insulation job.
Not only is it one of the easiest things to overlook or do inadequately, nothing you can do to your home will be more cost effective. The key is to pay attention to the details.
NEW HOMES
We offer two Air Sealing packages with our insulation:
BASIC – Top plate wire holes & other pentrations
PREMIUM – BASIC + windows, doors, caulk base plate & vertical corners
EXISTING HOMES
Attic Air Sealing package includes:
- Sealing all shafts for pipe, duct & flue penetrations
- Sealing sheetrock to top plate seam at all attic/wall interfaces
- Sealing all wire penetrations through top plate
- Sealing around all ceiling openings for lighting, fans, etc.
- Install can light covers for non-IC rated can lights
- Install and seal air barriers above all open soffits & dropped ceilings
- Ensure attic hatch/drop-down stair opening is sealed
- Seal dryall to can light connection for all recess lighting
SPRAY FOAM INSULATION
Using Touch N' Seal's Constant Pressure Dispensing System (CPDS 1000), we can install spray foam insulation in stud cavities in new homes or in new or existing homes as:
RIMSEAL™ (Nominal ½” of spray foam in rim joist area with R13 DryRight™ or kraft batt installed on top)
